Ernesto Buono, founder and master jeweller of Ernesto Buono Fine Jewellery (previously operating as Midas Jewellery Parramatta), has been dedicated to jewellery making since age 17. Starting on the beautiful island of Ischia, Italy, Ernesto was inspired by the natural beauty and rich artisanal traditions of his surroundings. He grew up among master craftsmen and elegant fine jewellery, learning the intricate techniques passed down through generations of Italian artisans.
Ernesto furthered his education in jewellery design at the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Naples, where he also studied sculpture and painting. This enriched his understanding of form, texture, and aesthetics, allowing him to blend classical techniques with contemporary design.
In 2001, Ernesto moved to Australia and continued his education at Enmore Design Centre TAFE in Sydney, mastering 3D jewellery design. This advanced training enabled him to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology for precise and innovative creations.
Ernesto’s commitment to excellence and keen eye for detail quickly earned him recognition. Each of his creations, characterised by timeless elegance and meticulous craftsmanship, brings joy to his clients.
Ernesto established Ernesto Buono Fine Jewellery, infusing each piece with his Italian heritage and artistic vision. Located in Parramatta Westfield, the flagship store attracts jewellery enthusiasts with its stunning window displays. Ernesto personally crafts each piece in-store, ensuring every creation reflects his dedication to quality and artistry.
